Pepsi, a UK-based beverage producer is investing in a new office headquarters near OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. Construction work begun on this office premises in November 2014.

The US$6m high-tech, custom-built and AAA-grade headquarters will be located on a Krisp Properties’ 28000m2 gross lease area (GLA) at Clearwater Office Park.

The new modernized two-storey building boasts among top-quality finishes such as rosewood doors and double volume lobbies. In addition, the building also embraces new energy efficient legislation.

To afford more space on the building, mezzanine level was used. The building will also get more distribution of natural light through the help of a central courtyard. A heat loss on the building is cut down by use of low glazing insulation on windows. This is helpful during summer.

Pepsi, through its South African company Simba was initially located at Isando in Johannesburg.

Also available in the office park is a clear lifestyle estate with a tennis court, gym and spa, lifestyle center and a restaurant.

Elsewhere, Director of Krisp Properties Jordan Mann has said Krisp will invest R500-million in expanding GLA office space at Clearwater Office Park since many international businesses were being more interested in office space. As such, it is targeting to expand space from current 28 000 m² GLA to 60 000 m² in the future.

According to the executive, his company added 5000m2 of commercial space in the Park a year and upon completion, it will have seven AAA grade unique office park grounds.
