Protasco Bhd engineering service group expects to complete its pending projects in Libya by the end of this year or beginning of 2015.
Protasco Bhd had signed up 2 contracts with Libya worth US$20 million before the Libyan revolution broke out in 2011 which interfered with infrastructure development.

The Managing director Datuk Chong Ket Pen has said last year that the company was to resume its projects in Libya by the end of June of that year.

The company since 2007 has been working in Libya rehabilitating and widening existing roads, parking areas, traffic crossroads underpasses of interchanges, guardrails, curbings, road furniture and demolition of unwanted existing buildings, street lighting and trees plus, bridges and culverts.

Libya is expected to invest US$140 billion (RM462 billion) in projects over the next decade as the country embarks on building a sustainable future. The developments and projects are across critical infrastructure, energy, utilities and industrial sectors
