No more tears or tangles with Besam interlocking Control Systems in the baby and rest rooms – the Mall of the North, Polokwane
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems’ four Besam interlock/locking control systems installed in the Mall of the North, Polokwane, Limpopo Province, are customised to meet specialised customer needs in the baby room and rest room and to ensure safe, easy and convenient customer entrance and access.
“The system, which is one of a kind developed in South Africa in conjunction with Security Equipment Centre, functions with our Unislide bi-parting sliding door system which is widely used on all our major installations, complete with our standard safety features”, according to André Aiton – Managing Director ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems (Pty) Ltd.
Once the customer is inside, various sensors inside the cubicle are activated to cut off the entry switch on the outside and a red LED indicates that the cubicle is now occupied.
No one can enter the cubicle at this time, offering optimum safety and peace of mind to the occupants.
To exit the cubicle, the exit switch is pressed and the LED on the entry switch will automatically turn green, indicating that the cubicle is now unoccupied”.
Aiton says that this new concept is already in use at all the new and larger malls. “Besam entrance systems present secure, comfortable access without detracting from the aesthetics of buildings and are extensively specified for medical clinics, shopping centres, malls, banks, airports, hotels, fast food chains, casinos and many other facilities that demand security conscious, customer-friendly, reliable and attractive door opening systems,” concludes Aiton.
