With Nigeria recording a current trade surplus of about 9.2 Billion USD, and balance of trade of 14.6 Billion USD, investment opportunities in the country is boosted with the on-going rehabilitation of the various hydro and thermal power stations, the building of 19 transmission lines and National Independent Power Plants (NIPPs) projects across the country. Interestingly too, the Power Reform Act 2005 has created a very conducive business environment for all sector players to participate in this window of great opportunities, while the prospects in the steel production activities in the West African Sub-region cannot be over emphasized.

Generally, participants in the 1st edition (Power Generation & Steel Production Exhibition and Conference) called for the expansion of the event to include Modern Homes and Office designs, building materials, furniture and appliances to synergize with the steel and power industries. This event is therefore strategic for all key sector players to now participate as more than 3,000 International Exhibitors, Delegates and Visitors from the sector will be on ground to exhibit and showcase equipments and technologies on Modern Building Materials, Appliances, Furniture, Electronics, Solar Energy, Bio Energy, Windmill and Gas Lines Building as well as Steel finished products such as Automotive Parts, Pressure Tubes, Pipes, Farm Machineries and other appliances.

It will also encourage the fostering of partnership of all key players to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of infrastructures and services through competition, responsiveness to opportunities and service delivery.

In addition, we have carefully selected topics of discussion on the conference segment to reflect realities and possibilities in the sectors including new technologies on turbine engines and renewable energy sources, distribution, power upgrade, iron-ore, home and office wares, electronics, blast furnace/basic oxygen furnace technology of steel production and direct reduction (DR) process.
