Techno Oil Limited has partnered with Pipeline Products and Marketing Company (PPMC) – a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) – to ensure rural dwellers embraced the use of cooking gas, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
This was revealed by Mrs. Betty Ugona, the PPMC Manager in charge of LPG who also said that the company would continue engaging companies promoting usage of the gas.
Techno Oil cylinders of 3kg and 6kg cylinders, popularly known as Techno Gas Stoves were distributed to thousands of the Auchi residents in Edo State of Nigeria.
Nigeria is a mainly gas country with huge vast of gas reserves that remain untapped. These run in the excess of 187tcf and have an average production capacity of over three million Metric Tonnes (MT) per year. Unfortunately, Nigeria has the lowest per capita Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) consumption of 1.1kg in Africa.
