Babcock, exclusive distributor of SDLG construction machinery in the southern African region introduced its Western Cape customers to the new G9190 SDLG maintenance grader at the recent Agri Mega Week show in Bredasdorp.

Agri Mega Week has been hosted in its current format at Mega Park since 2003. Visitors to this popular four-day annual show are primarily from the agricultural sector. This year’s event showcased the latest trends, technology, products and events around the theme “Focus on Africa”.

“We take part in Agri Mega Week every year and the enthusiasm around our SDLG line-up was definitely more intense this year,” says Colin Van Blerk, Babcock’s Regional Sales Manager for Equipment in the Cape. “We were delighted by the response. The capital equipment buyers who attended the show were keen to ask us questions about the SDLG range’s technical specifications, performance, fuel consumption and pricing.  Visitors to our stand were particularly impressed with the G9190’s competitive price.

“Our stand was manned by our sales team, assisted by members of our product support and marketing teams. As always, the show proved an ideal opportunity to reach a wide audience, explore new markets and increase our market share.”

The G9190 maintenance grader is a relatively new addition to the SDLG construction machinery family. Based on SDLG’s proven technological abilities the G9190 is a well-balanced machine with good traction and great blade down force.

The 146 kW motor grader is powered by the German-designed Dalian Deutz electronic injection engine and offers premium performance on any terrain. The G9190 cab offers impressive visibility, and a comfortable, quiet working space. Combined with air conditioned controlled temperature, this achieves a more pleasant and productive working space for operators.

SDLG is a value-added range of mechanically driven wheel loaders, graders and vibratory rollers, ideal for applications in the re-handling, construction, quarrying, agricultural and aggregate industries. These machines offer extended trouble-free operation and are extremely maintenance friendly, fitted with basic electronics and standard components.

The SDLG range of construction machinery is fast becoming recognised as high quality, value added products in Southern Africa.  Babcock reports that the uptake of these machines across the region has exceeded all expectations. A dedicated Product Support Unit and aftersales teams operating throughout Babcock’s African footprint ensure that the SDLG units are operating effectively at all times.

All Babcock centres are fully geared to service the expanding range of equipment being sold across Southern Africa.  This includes a comprehensive stockholding of spare parts. Babcock also offers driver training and extended warranties of up to 6000 hours/36 months.
