EGE is a group of companies assembled in an internationally operating holding company which primarily offers deliveries of special equipment for the power industry. EGE has proprietary know-how, uses its own production facilities, employs about 600 people, including specialised design teams and seasoned installation crews, and has revenues exceeding 65 million EUR.

The main areas of business of parent company EGE, spol. s r.o. are three-fold: generator outlets – busducts, high-voltage electrical technology focused on neutral point earthing, earth fault protection and reactive power compensation in distribution networks, and lattice towers for transmission & distribution lines and other steel structures. The company‘s strategy is to offer a full range of products and services from technical training to after-sales service. EGE provides its own development, design, engineering, manufacture, assembly and service for all its own products.

Quality has been the key to all of their activities and the company has been certified on quality in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 3834 and OHSAS 18001 standards. The quality level established by these standards has been adhered to through demanding audits which have covered the entire scope of their business activities. Product quality is supported by continual research and development.

Export represents more than 75% of total sales of the company. They have installed more than 1000 bus duct units in over 500 power stations worldwide and are represented in most of European countries, including challenging markets such as Switzerland and Germany. Their products are successfully operating in 84 countries all over the world. Their global customers benefit from their vast experience and tradition of 65 years in quality production, from their expert and reliable services to their flexibility in meeting customer-specific requirements. They co-operate with the most important world leaders in the production and transmission & distribution of electrical energy, such as E.ON, Enel, Siemens, ABB, Hyundai, Hyosung, Samsung C&T, Bayernwerk, Latvenergo, Lenenergo, Rodax, Areva, EnBW, General Electric, and others.

The EGE bus ducts have been used as power station generator outlets operating in Republic of South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, and Ethiopia.

Radek Skopík, Sales Manager of Electrical Engineering Division advices potential buyer to consider their products as they are very quality products based on high demands of western European countries including Switzerland, where the quality and reliability are the major requirements. If the customers are looking for high quality products, they can offer and they will be glad as well to present them. They are currently pursuing local strong and successful trading companies from Africa to act as agents/distributors for their products.

Skopik also commented on the emerging trend in regards to the products that, the trend is improved and reliable power supply in distribution networks, SAIDI and SAIFI improvement.

EGE regularly participate in trade fairs and significant energy events all over the world. This year they exhibited at Hannover Messe in Germany, Energetab fair in Poland, Power-Gen Europe, Electric Power fair in Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russian Federation, and they are going to exhibit at Power-Gen International in Orlando, FL, USA in the second week of December.

On basis of their long history of involvement in solving problems in the operation of distribution grids, they also arrange specialized presentations and workshops for their customers focused on distribution network operation.
