The Achimota Retail Center is a mall located in Accra Ghana, whose construction begun in 2014 and was completed in October 2015. The retail centre has a retail space covering 14000 square metres all on one level.

The Achimota Retail Centre is located on a 3.5ha site along the Accra—Nsawam Highway in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana and boasts several retail outlets, a food court and restaurants and an ample parking forecourt.

WBHO to deliver Achimota Mall project in Ghana by end of this year

WBHO is yet to deliver Achimota Retail Centre project, Ghana by end of this year. Not so long ago the WBHO construction company delivered the West Hills Mall which is the biggest shopping mall in the country and the entire West Africa region. The West Hills Mall is located at Donkonah, along the Accra-Kasoa road.

The Achimota Retail Centre project will be located on the Achimota-Ofankor Highway, between the Phyto-Riker (GIHOC) Pharmaceuticals and the Achimota Office of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). The project came about due to the increasing demand for shopping malls in Ghana.

Furthermore, the company is an international construction company having successfully secured a reputable record in the construction of buildings, civil engineering, roads and earthworks globally. The company has also gained fame in its expertise in shopping malls construction.

The Achimota Retail Centre project will cover a total of 14,500m2 which will include retail centres to benefit the Achimota, Tesano, Dome, Taifa, Ofankor and West Legon residents and its environ. The project is expected to serve a total population of over 84,000 persons at ago with an ample parking of both open and covered. In fact, several retailers have already booked their proffered spaces at the mall which are Shoprite, Life Healthcare, Telefonika, Basilissa and Starlite. Fashion, restaurant outlets and food courts will also be available at the mall.

The Achimota Retail Centre project is currently supervised by both local and expatriate engineers. This has brought about job opportunities for locals as sub-contracts have been awarded to local firms to gear up the construction of the project which is expected to be opened within the last quarter of this year.
