Confirmed partners and sponsors for the 2015 conference include Ondo State Government, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Flour Mills Nigeria Plc, Oando Energy, Eurobudinvest Nig. Ltd, Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Samsung Electronics West Africa, Kenol Nig Ltd, Danelec Limited, O. T. Otis Engineering Limited, International Brewery, Ilesa, Fumman Group, AR-AR and Partners, Ceven Industries, Auchi, Celplas Industries Nig. Ltd. and Siemens Limited.

However, this year’s conference will be conducted in partnership with the National Planning Commission (NPC), with an agenda to scrutinize avenues to proper implementation of the economic development as well as national growth. It is recalled that, last year’s World Engineering Conference doubled and implement the Sustainable Infrastructure (WECSI 2014)The National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan (NIIMP) 2014 Strategies For Implementation.

According to the Conference Planning Committee Chair and NSE Vice President, the wellbeing and capacity of human capital can only be enhanced through adequate provision of social infrastructure such as health, education and conducive living environments. Chunk of investments has been lost to neighbouring countries on account of decaying infrastructure.

“It is against this backdrop that the Nigerian Society of Engineers conference has been organized in partnership with the National Planning Commission to provide the government with a graphic picture of the need to step up its policies geared toward expanding our infrastructure base. Efforts towards building new roads, rehabilitation of the railways, and resuscitation and modernization of our refineries are all crucial.”She added

The World Bank Global Infrastructure Facility last year launched a response to infrastructure deficits in developing countries as lack of critical infrastructure rested at the economic and social costs, resulting in losses in investments and massive job cuts suffered by developing nations recently.

Moreover, for the 2015 National Engineering Conference, themes and sub-themes for the discourses have been put together carefully to exhaustively dwell on preferring strategies for implementation of the National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan as well as other subject matters in the value chain of infrastructural development.
