A new pediatric hospital in Kenya  is set to be constructed after an agreement was signed by Schneider Childrens’ Medical Centre and Nyandarua County.

The construction  project under Schneider which is Israeli’s largest children hospital will offer technical support and human resource development tools to the residents. The project will be constructed in Ol Kalou town.

Nyandarua Governor Daniel Waithaka and the President of Schneider Children’s Hospital Prof Joseph Press signed the agreement during a ceremony that was attended by Israeli ambassador Yahel Vilan, county assembly speaker Wahome Ndegwa, and several MCAs.

“We have travelled a long journey with our partners from Israel and have made many visits, but these events mark a major development in the economic partnership between us,” Mr. Waithaka said.

Schneider Childrens’ Medical Centre caters for 8,000 open-heart surgeries annually and has pediatricians with experience in a number of conditions.

This is the second contract to be agreed upon by the County Government of Nyandarua and Israeli’s organization with the first one being with the Tahal International Group that agreed to draw a multi-million water plan for the county.

The construction of the new Pediatric hospital in Kenya will be an imitation of the Schneider Childrens’ Medical Centre which is situated in Tel Aviv.
