Architectural Association of Kenya (Architects Chapter)’s excellence awards are now set to be held on February 18th, 2016 in a Nairobi City Hotel.

Speaking during the launch Architectural Association of Kenya Vice president Emma Miloyo said the awards are aimed at awarding the best architectures in the country as they are looking forward towards streamlining the industry.

She added that this year’s awards are expected to be bigger and better that the past as they have already got a good support from companies such as BascoPaints who are the main sponsor for the event.

“We want to ensure all the participants that we are up to ensure the association remains strong as they remain the key pillar in the rising construction industry” she added
The Architectural Association of Kenya (Architects Chapter) is pleased to announce the Awards of Excellence in Architecture 2016. This award scheme is aimed at recognizing excellence in architecture for projects designed / completed in Kenya over the last 50 years.

Established in 1967, the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) is Kenya’s leading Association for professionals in the built and natural environment in Kenya incorporating Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Town Planners, Engineers, Landscape Architects and Environmental Design Consultants and Construction Project Managers.

The Association is registered under the Societies Act and brings together professionals from the Private Sector, Public Sector and Academia. The Association also acts as a link between professionals and stakeholders in the construction industry: Including policy makers, manufacturers, real estate developers, financial institutions, and so on.

Its in this context that the Association continues to collaborate and affiliate itself with both municipal and international organisations.
