A turnkey project where HIMOINSA has supplied installed and commissioned the generator sets and also trained the customer’s technicians.

The “Loanda Towers” have become the latest landmark in the Angolan capital, a symbol of the modern and cosmopolitan architecture now being built in that city.

Standing in an area in which the main grid is somewhat unstable, the Towers house apartments and offices that need a guaranteed continuous supply of electricity.

HIMOINSA supplied two of the towers of the complex with four stand-by gensets that currently work an average 7 hours a day. In the event of grid failure, these HTW 1260 T5 and HTW 1745 T5 models are ready to work in parallel.

HIMOINSA’s Commercial Director in Portugal, Carlos Santos, states that “as this is an urban zone, in order to ensure the minimum possible acoustic contamination, we have soundproofed the room that houses the gensets and fitted attenuators to its air intakes and outlets”.

This turnkey project has been handled by the engineering team at HIMOINSA Portugal, in close collaboration with HIMOINSA Angola who looked after the installation and the commissioning of the machines and the training of the customer’s technicians thereby guaranteeing local support of the highest quality.

In addition to the four gensets, the company has installed three 10,000 litre fuel tanks and all the connections and materials needed for the installation.
