BON Hotels which is a hospitality company that possesses, manages and markets hotels throughout the growing African region has recently added a tenth property to their Nigerian portfolio dubbed BON Hotel GRAND Pela.

The new hotel is located in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria and is conveniently situated 5 minutes from the city centre and only 15 minutes from the airport.

BON Hotel GRAND Pela which has the facilities of an international standard targets the corporate, business and leisure travellers.

This initiative was inspired by modern influences with an African touch; the hotel features 87 spacious rooms, an in-house spa and beauty salon, a modern gym fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, a versatile conference centre, a restaurant, 4 bars and a lounge, and 2 swimming pools and free Wi-fi throughout the hotel.

During the opening ceremony, the Chairman of GRAND Pela Hotels & Suites, Mr. Peter Chukwudi Nwakeze was very pleased and said that the idea of building the hotel came out of his desire to contribute to the structural and social development of Abuja.

“Despite the many existing hotels in Abuja we decided to make a paradigm shift by adding new features to the hotel that represent our core values of excellence and professionalism. Our endeavor is to carve a niche in the hospitality industry that will leave a lasting experience for our guests,” Mr. Chukwudi said.

The Executive Director of BON Hotels International West Africa, Mr. Bernard Cassar commented during the acquisition that they are very excited to acquire BON Hotel GRAND Pela since it is a good fit for their portfolio, and in line with their focus on positioning their properties as 4-star, international, boutique-style, full-service hotels, at affordable prices.

The mega BON Hotel Grand Pela will be among the growing list of other Nigerian hotels acquired by BON Hotels in Abuja, Warri, Ikeja and Victoria Island, alongside three properties under construction and due for completion in 2018 in Apo, Ekiti and OwerrI.

BON Hotels is a strong competitor in the African hotel management market and is possibly Nigeria’s fastest-growing hotel group.
