The 24th IEK Engineers International Conference organized by the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) in collaboration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) will be held from 10th to 12th May, 2017 at the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi.

It will provide a platform for engineers, academicians, industrialists and associated professionals from the Eastern African region and other parts of the world to share experiences, challenges and new know ledge on engineering matters.

The event will feature a comprehensive technical programme with distinguished keynote speakers from the industry, academia and policy makers. In the past the conference has attracted participants from South Africa, China, Namibia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Rwanda and Uganda.

The main theme for the 2017 conference is ”Engineering Innovations and Strategic Solutions.”

• The conference charges per participant will be Kes 40,000/= for IEK Members and Kes 45,000/= for Non-members, student s will be charged Kes 15.000/= and International delegates will pay USD $500.

The Institution of Engineers of Kenya is the learned society of the engineering profession and co-operates with national and other international institutions in developing and applying engineering to the benefit of humanity.

IEK provides a service to its members by means of seminars, lectures, publications and training, to enable them to keep up to date with technical and industrial developments, management aspects of engineering, changes in technology and relevant developments in Kenya and elsewhere.

The “Kenya Engineer” is the bi-monthly journal of the body and is distributed to all members of IEK.
