Silentwind is a Portuguese based company with German management. The company has three decades of experience and know-how acquired through their work on small wind turbines on marine vessels under particularly difficult conditions.

The company is committed to increasing their partner network globally. According to Samuel Silva, their products can be used on severe environment applications. They are lightweight and can be used to supply energy to small houses or small equipment’s. They are excellent for field campaign like hospitals. Moreover, their products are very cost effective, efficient and suitable for many varieties of projects. The company offer solutions for maritime, caravan, off grid, remote homes and floating buoys.

The wind blades are made of carbon fiber, hand-rolled, with great resistance and minimum noise emission. Their initial activity for the area of small wind turbines was the development of low noise rotorblades made of 100% carbon fiber material, hand laminated and UV-resistent. These blades were introduced in 2008 as replacement parts for a windgenerator well known on the market as very noisy. They were previously sold by Spreco, a member company of their group.

Due to their great success, the company decided to develop and manufacture their own wind generator for their silent power blades.

Remote Homes

Off-grid systems are characterized by not being connected to the electrical network, that is, the auto system is sustained through energy generators, charge controllers, inverters and batteries. In this system the energy stored in the batteries is the only source of energy, for moments when energy is absent, so it is necessary to correctly size the storage system (batteries) and the energy production (generation).

The production of electric energy in an ecological, simple, easy to install and adequate maintenance is the wind-solar hybrid system. The hybrid systems Wind-Solar complement each other and provide greater reliability in the continuity of electrical production over time.

Silentwind generators are easy to install and maintain and allow the connection of several generators in parallel for greater energy production. The wind blades are made of carbon fiber, hand-rolled, with great resistance and minimum emission of noise, this being the great differentiator of Silentwind.

Silentwind Pro Wind Generator 12V

It exemplifies the evolution of wind turbine design. It is lightweight head, combined with its high-tech carbon fiber blades, offer a simple but reliable product that will withstand the rigorous Marine environment with endless reliability. It truly is a whisper quiet generator and one that any mariner would be proud to have installed on their boat.

The product is shipped complete with detailed user manuals and all necessary hardware/tools making installation easy and uncomplicated.

Silentwind 400 PRO Wind Generator

The ultralight and aerodynamic Silentwind wind generator is designed to charge batteries by converting wind energy into electricity. Developed and produced for use in the marine environment, it can be used in various wind conditions from low to high. Silentwind is lightweight (only 6.8kg), constructed of marine grade aluminium alloy, corrosion protected and features a stainless-steel shaft and waterproof sealed bearings. The hand-laminated, carbon fibre blades, are designed to offer greater wind resistance whilst producing minimum noise emissions. The unit starts charging with only 4kn wind, generating 50W at 14kn and 100W at 19kn. At maximum it generates 420W at 29kn. The included hybrid charge controller is external, and can accept input from both the Silentwind and solar panels. It has a multifunction display and integrated stop switch (electronic / manual). Another advantage of the SILENTWIND is that it does not have any inbuilt electronics which means that there is hardly any maintenance work on the mounted wind generator. The electric power is led down to the charge controller by 3 cables.

From the end of 2010 until today, the commercialization of their Silentwind generator started and has become a worldwide success for sea and land use. The company’s challenge is to improve continuously their products and services in order to serve their partners and customers better.
