According to an official statement, Qatar Academy’s Multi Million Contract for main construction works is set to be awarded by the fourth quarter of 2023. Quite impressively, the academy is reported to accommodate 1,800 students in total. Moreover, it will feature facilities for various educational levels. These include laboratories, sports halls, as well as administrative buildings. In addition to art and music rooms, and a swimming pool.
Earlier in the year, the development’s main construction contract tender was released. The tender’s specifics noted that the project’s construction period will take about 730 days from its commencement date. Furthermore, it will also include a maintenance period of 400 days. An official source revealed that the development targets for completion by the conclusion of the fourth quarter of 2025.

Qatar Academy’s Multi Million Contract Total Investment
In total Qatar Academy’s Multi Million Contract is reportedly worth $45 million. At an estimate, the development’s work area spans 74,402 meters squared. The academy’s location is within SIdra, also known as ‘Education City’. It’ll be right in the capital of Doha, at the North Campus Precinct 9.
As a whole, the project development serves as a reflection of Qatar’s efforts towards improving educational institutions across the region. Last year, around February, Ashghal successfully concluded improvement works for 27 schools across Qatar. The development works included expansions and various modifications. Additionally, Ashghal also worked on upgrading firefighting systems, as well as increasing the number of classrooms.
While speaking about the developments thus far, the Head of the Education Project Section in Ashghal noted that the designs strive to provide environmental, athletic, educational, and recreational amenities for the students. Moreover, Ahmad al Emadi said that the development aims to incorporate characteristics of the Qatari culture. The Engineering Support section head while also speaking about the development stated that a huge portion of Ashghal’s vision includes supporting local products. Therefore, Obaid al Athab, said that about 70% of the building materials used are from local producers as well as manufacturers.
