Delta Scientific is the world’s leading manufacturer of vehicle access control equipment with over 260,000 square feet of production facilities in Palmdale, California, USA. More than 17,000 Delta systems protect people and property at 8,000 locations in over 130 countries around the globe.
At Delta Scientific, talented, experienced structural engineering professionals undertake the full scope of design, from mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, control logic, and submittals, to the generation of installation and maintenance manuals.
Delta Scientific pioneered the use of “Finite Element Analysis” to study vehicle collisions. With a database of full-scale tests, Delta Scientific structural engineering experts deploy excellent computer models that let them test new designs on the computer. As a result, Delta Scientific engineers are able to analyze special applications and design unique products to meet specific customer requirements.
Delta’s complete manufacturing center produces the world’s leading barricades, barriers, bollards, guard booths and other vehicle control equipment. Delta’s barricades, bollards, gates and beam barricades stop vehicles dead in their tracks.
Delta’s portable barriers are used around the world. The US Department of State uses them to protect embassies in locations where permanent barricades are not feasible. Delta’s bollard systems operate individually or in groups of up to ten and are used for intermediate level security applications. Bollards are aesthetically pleasing and allow pedestrians to move between bollards in non-roadway applications.
Delta’s surface mounted barricades feature quick installation into difficult locations such as parking structure ramps or areas with sub-surface drainage problems. These barricades are lowered to allow passage of authorized vehicles and are available in widths up to 240 inches (6096 m).
Using Doppler Radar and Digital Loop detector technology, the Delta Scientific DSC400 Early Warning System alerts guards to active security measures including raising their Delta vehicle barricades. It will also warn if a hidden vehicle suddenly passes a larger vehicle and attempts an attack.
From airports to embassies, from warehouses to depots, Delta crash-rated gates stop unauthorized pedestrians and vehicles from entering places that they don’t belong.
Delta’s Beam barricades are available in hydraulic and manually operated models and are raised to allow passage of authorized vehicles.
