HUCU Solar was established in 2007 to manufacture high quality solar thermal collectors used for hot water and heating. The entire manufacturing process is done at the factory in Antequera, Spain. HUCU has set itself apart from other manufacturers by using state-of-the-art technology both in the deep-drawn collector body and in laser welding for the absorber.
HUCU Solar´s product line includes flat plate collectors used for large forced circuit installations like hotels, municipal sports centers, laundry businesses or housing for the elderly. Using solar energy to heat water for these installations reduces the heating bill for water by at least as 50%.
HUCU Solar also has a thermal siphon system used in natural flow installations for individual housing units. These systems are simple to install and give homeowners plenty of hot water for sanitary uses. Production capacity at HUCU Solar is 200.000 m2 per year or 100.000 collectors.
Arlyn Johnson the Customer Relations Director says that the simplicity of installation and usage of the thermosiphon system makes it ideal for Africa and the forced circuit system takes advantage of the abundant energy from the sun for larger scale hot water needs. She further says that their products are available in Africa.
