DeTect, Inc today announced the opening of an office in Beijing China. The office is supporting systems being delivered to the company’s Manufacturing and Completion Center (MCC) in Hebei province, located in the Free Trade Zone near Zhengding county (260km south of Beijing).
“DeTect China is delivering three MERLIN bird radars to airports in China this year with more orders pending” said Carter Yin, General Manager of DCN. “Demand is high for this advanced and widely used technology for bird-aircraft strike hazard (BASH) management and for real-time detection of hazardous bird activity.” DeTect China is currently working closely with its regional partners to deliver a turn-key solution to airport operators,
including MERLIN Aircraft Birdstrike Avoidance Radars with integrated bird deterrent devices. Also DeTect China and MCC are building up a local aftermarket support team to provide its regional clients 24-7 support and response services.
