AD Ports KLP21, which is an industry-leading logistics hub in the UAE has been launched. The facility is located in KIZAD, the AD Port Group’s integrated trade, logistics, and industrial zone. The zone is between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The facility (AD Ports KLP21) is right next to the upcoming Regional Food Hub that is along the E311 cargo corridor. The facility, therefore, has direct connectivity to all major markets including Asia, Africa, and the MENA region. The three regions represent a combined marketplace of over 4.5 billion consumers.

AD Ports KLP21 features and targeted industry

AD Ports KLP21 features four warehouses with well over 80,000 square meters of capacity. They will reportedly be able to accommodate well over about 100,000 pallets. The pallets will span across a network of chambers. Moreover, they will have an option of independent configuration to a wide range of temperatures as well as sizes. The facility will also offer one of the most advanced temperature-controlled logistics hubs within the region.

The facility therfore aims to support critical regional industries that require ambient and cold storage. These include specialty chemical sectors, healthcare, food, and beverage as well as fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Furthermore, the facility will offer a full suite of third-party logistics (3PL) alongside fourth-party logistics (4PL) services. Additionally, it will also offer regional logistics hub operations alongside value-added services. These will include specialty packing, labeling, e-packing, and others.

Al Hameli remarks n the project 

The Chief Executive Officer of AD Ports spoke on the project. Abdullah Al Hameli said that the project’s development builds upon their Economic Cities & Free zone portfolio. Additionally, he added, that the project serves as a response to the ever-increasing customer demand for temperature-controlled storage solutions within Abu Dhabi. The Chief Executive Officer concluded by saying that the facility aims to support the efficient and safe distribution of climate-sensitive goods within the UAE as well as across the wider region.
