The renewable energy conference in South Africa is set to start in October. The first international forum in Africa, the conference will provide a platform for the continent to show high-level International delegates its numerous renewable energy projects.

The conference which will take place from 4th to 7th October will take place in Cape Town and would attract over 1200 delegates from more than 35 countries.

The South African International Renewable Energy Conference (Sairec) will have the Theme: Re-energizing

Africa and will address renewable energy security and access matters.
This conference is the sixth one with previous ones having been held in Germany, China, USA, India and United Arab Emirates and while in South Africa, it will be hosted by the Department of Energy (DoE), the South African National Development Institute, Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century and Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbiet.

Sairec 2015 will give Africans an opportunity to showcase its promising renewable energy industry and further give them a chance to say why they should become the business destination for the renewable energy.

According to the Minister for Energy, Tina Joemat-Pettersson , this will also open room for attends to gain experience and knowledge from the best practices from countries on the forefront of renewable-energy deployment.

Joemat-Pettersson also noted that the conference will demonstrate why Africa is the business destination for renewable energy given the growth it is currently experiencing and investment in clean energy to help underpin sustainable economic growth.

The renewable energy conference in South Africa will enable South Africa to showcase 16 renewable projects which will include solar and biomass along with other socio-economic projects, training facilities and business opportunities that such create.
