Suffolk County Council has granted Milestone Infrastructure a highways services contract in the UK.  The highway services contract will go into effect on October 1st. Following a careful procurement process, the council selected Milestone Infrastructure as its new contract partner for two decades.

The contract has a value of between £800 million and $1 billion. It calls for the completion of highway projects and upgrades throughout Suffolk. The firm will maintain the sewage system, trim hedges, repair broken pavement, removing snow and grit.

“Milestone is happy to be partnering with Suffolk County Council. Thus, they will provide safer highways for all users of the county network,” said Matthew Riches, director of Milestone operations.

We are dedicated to upholding the safest network possible for neighborhood businesses in this new partnership. This is as well as communities and tourists all year long. Our dedication to exceptional service will focus on collaborating with the council to reach its net-zero carbon goals. This is in addition to enhancing biodiversity.

“We are dedicated to giving local residents jobs to support our delivery and having local supply chain partners boost the Suffolk economy. We take pride in assisting our neighborhood. Thus, we look forward to getting to know and working with Suffolk’s citizens and businesses starting in October.

The search for a new contractor to deliver our highway services has finally ended. I am delighted to welcome our new highway partner, Milestone, to Suffolk,” said Paul West, cabinet member for Ipswich, active highways, at Suffolk County Council.
