The Kenya Dairy Board intends to erect and complete the proposed Kenya Dairy Board National Dairy Laboratory at upper Kabete, off Waiyaki Way next to sugar Directorate offices Nairobi. 2. The Board now invites Tenders from eligible bidders registered by National Construction Authority in category NCA4 or above to express their interest in the proposed works. Selection of successful bidder shall follow the national competitive bidding procedures described in the Tender Documents. 3. A mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held on 8th May, 2017 at 10.30am at upper Kabete, off Waiyaki Way Next Sugar Board Offices, Nairobi. 6. Complete Tender Document in a sealed envelope bearing the name and identification number of the tender and addressed to Managing Director, Kenya Dairy Board, P.O Box 30406-00100, Nairobi shall be deposited in the Boards Tender Box at NSSF Building, Block A, 10th Floor, Eastern Wing on or before 16th May, 2017 at 10.00am. 7. Submitted bids shall be opened on the same day in the presence of bidder’s representatives who choose to attend at KDB Boardroom, NSSF Building, Block A Eastern wing 11th Floor. 8. Late bids shall be rejected and consequently shall not be opened. 9. Bids shall remain valid for One Hundred Twenty (120) days from the date of opening of tenders. 10. The tenders shall be accompanied by Tender Security, which must be from a reputable bank or from a PPRA accredited insurance company, shall be valid for one hundred fifty (150) days from tender opening date and shall be 1% of the tender amount. 11. The Board reserves the right to reject any tender giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender. 12.
