Relocation of water pipeline from Changamwe roundabout to Makupa roundabout

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) is a State Corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2007, with the responsibility for the management, development, rehabilitation and maintenance of national roads.

The Kenya National Highways Authority in conjunction with Coast Water Services Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for RELOCATION OF WATER PIPELINES FROM CHANGAMWE ROUNDABOUT TO MAKUPA ROUNDABOUT ALONG THE PROJECT ROAD.

The source of fund to be used is Government of Kenya (GoK) Development Fund. The following are mandatory requirements that must be submitted together with the bids:

1. Certified copy of certificate of incorporation
2. Copy of valid Tax Compliance Certificate (To be verified on KRA TCC Checker).
3. Certified copy of Valid NCA certificate under Category 1 for water works
4. Certified copy of Current Single Business permit
5. Current work load
6. Litigation history (provide sworn affidavit) should have been sworn within 3 months of the tender opening date
7. Client satisfaction on previous and current assignments
8. Duly filled Confidential Business Questionnaire
9. Bidders shall sequentially serialize all pages of each tender submitted

All Certification of Documents shall be original and executed by a Commissioner for Oaths or Notaries Public.

Interested eligible Firms may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from Ground Floor Supply Chain Management Office, Blue Shield Towers, Hospital Road, Upper Hill, Nairobi during week days (Monday to Friday), excluding public holidays, from 09:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs local time.

A complete set of bidding document may be obtained by interested firms by downloading free of charge from IFMIS Kenya Suppliers Portal and Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) websites: and or from KeNHA Supply Chain Management office, Ground floor upon payment of non-refundable fees of Kshs. 1,000.00 (One Thousand only) in form of banker’s cheque only payable to Kenya National Highways Authority.

A Mandatory Pre-Tender Site visit shall be conducted by the Employer on Monday, 30th July, 2018 at 0900hrs starting with an assembly and briefing at the Makupa Roundabout.

Relocation of Water Pipelines from Changamwe Roundabout to Makupa Roundabout Along the Project Road The Bid shall be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with tender name and reference number and deposited in the tender Box at Kenya National Highways Authority Headquarters, Mezzanine Floor, Hospital Road, Blue Shield Towers, Upper Hill and/or to be addressed to the:

The Bid should be submitted on or before Wednesday, 15th August, 2018 at 11.00 AM East Africa Time.
Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.

Opening of the proposals will take place immediately thereafter at the KeNHA Board Room, 3rd Floor, Blue Shield Towers in the presence of firm’s representatives who choose to attend.

Every Bidder shall be represented by one person bearing an original letter from the company authorizing them to represent the company in the pre-tender site visit.
One (1) person shall only represent one (1) company.

The letter shall be in the official company letter head giving name and ID/Passport No. of the representative who shall be required to present their Original identification during the pretender site visit/Pre Tender Conference. The letter shall be duly signed and bear an original company stamp. Photocopies or any other media shall not be accepted
