Ole Sereni, Kenya’s five-star hotel brand, has decided to embark on a US$ 20m expansion project starting February, this year.

Ole Sereni’s General Manager, Ghulam Samdani said that the new hotel would be located adjacent to the current one.

He further pointed out that they have decided to expand because they have been winning business on small conferences and business meetings, but have been losing out on bigger international meetings because most customers preferred their delegates to be under one building. The hotel could not offer the latter, hence the reasons for extension.

The US$ 20m will cater for the construction of the hotel, resulting in a huge expansion undertaking that will see it more than double its current capacity from 134 beds.

The hotel brand is among companies that last year announced new upcoming undertakings in hotel construction in an attempt to tap local tourism incomes.

Located strategically 12 km from the JKIA Airport and offering modern facilities, personalized services to clients, the hotel also enjoys close proximity to the Central Business District. It serves international organizations, financial institutions, Government offices and the Industrial areas of Nairobi.
