The main companies that were tasked with this project are Jireh Construction Enterprise Incorporated, Liberia Reconstruction Group Incorporated, Textual Accuracy Construction and Consultancy and Origin Construction Company. Construction of the elementary schools will be undertaken in Kinnon, Zolowee, Gehwee and Gbonnie towns.

Units for the projects will have 6 classrooms, a teachers’ lounge, principal’s office and a special toilet for use by the staff and others.

Acting project management committee chairman for the county Eddie Z. Tenwah noted that the project will cost US$166,313.10m, with completion of the four schools set to be in three months according to the agreement in the contract.

The Gehwee project is funded by BHP Billiton with 20 percent allocation, while Zolowee, Kinnon and Gbonie projects will be funded by Arcelor Mittal Social Development Fund at 20 percent allocation each.
