Hohoe is a town and the capital of the mountainous Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region in Ghana. The town is known for its beautiful climate and tourist attractions like the Wli Waterfalls.

The town is also the thirty-fifth most populous residential in Ghana, with a population number of 56,202 people. Hohoe is between Lake Volta and Togo border. The town is also connected by Kpandu road and Ho in Ghana; and Kpalimé and Badou in Togo.

Late last year, Hohoe Municipal Assembly provided mechanized borehole facilities and Poly tank “Rambo 1000” for water reservation in the 20 communities. They include Ashani Kumasi, Akplamato, Kpeme, Alavanyo Dzogbedze, Lolobi Kumasi, Abehenease, Wudidi, Wopeaji and Klezo among others.

According to Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Dr Mrs. Margaret Kweku, the main objective concerning the mechanized borehole facilities and Poly tank is to help enhance standard of living in the selected communities through the provision of basic necessities such as potable water supply.

Community members are expected to take good care of the provided borehole and tank and ensure proper maintenance of the facilities to help prolong their lifespan. However, the project was largely financed by the Urban Development Grant (UDG).
