BORAQS Exams: The Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS) is inviting applications for the 2017 professional examinations for architects and quantity surveyors from recognized universities.
This report released by QS. George C. Omondi, states that the year 2017 applicants should be from recognized universities and have attained a minimum of 24 months approved postgraduate experience as at, 17th March 2017. All the candidates’ referees must also have at least 2 years Post- Registration experience.
Application forms are available from their offices, Transcom House Annex, Ground Floor, Ngong Road Nairobi or may be downloaded from the website www.boraqs.or.ke. The duly completed application forms should be returned to the Registrar by 4:00 P.M on Friday, 17th March 2017 accompanied by the Examination Fees.
Prospective candidates for 2018 Professional Examinations should collect/download log-sheets by 31st May 2017 and ensure constant and consistent endorsements.
All registered Architects and Quantity Surveyors are reminded to observe and adhere to By-laws 41, 42 and 43 and other provisions of the Architects and Quantity Surveyors Act Cap 525 of the Laws of Kenya.

Developers and the general public are advised of the need to seek professional services from Architects and Quantity Surveyors in good standing with this Board.
This is therefore to notify the general public that the list of Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Architectural and Quantity Surveying firms in good standing is available on the Board’s website www.boraqs.or.ke/members. Any person or firm not listed on the website is NOT allowed by law to practice Architecture or Quantity Surveying. The general public is encouraged to confirm the registration status of their respective consultants and confirm whether they are on the list.
BORAQS is a Kenyan board that regulates the professions of architecture and quantity surveying, handles the registration of architects, quantity surveyors and firms of both disciplines among other responsibilities.
