Tanzania Renewable Energy Association (TAREA) was founded in the year 2000. It was officially registered on 7th May 2001 by Tanzania Ministry of Home Affairs with number SA10900.
The objective of TAREA is to promote the sustainable development of Renewable Energy Technologies in Tanzania Mainland. Moreover, it cooperates with all important enterprises in Tanzania, as well as (inter-)national organizations.
TAREA membership is open to any person, company and institution sharing the mission and objectives of the association. However, passive members who have registered once and paid annual fee but not for the current year are registered in the database and cannot use the membership services.
The membership services and participation of the association activities are only in benefit to the active members who have paid the annual fee for the current calendar year.
There are different categories of membership which are including different benefits and services.

If you want to become a member it is necessary to apply for it. After acceptance of the application and payment of registration and annual fee you become an active member of TAREA.
This membership is valid for one year and confirmed by a certificate. Finally, active membership has to be refreshed every year through annual fee payment otherwise it turns in passive membership.
