According African Economic Outlook 2018 Report, the infrastructure deficit is even more than was previously estimated. The deficit, which now stands between $130 – $180 billion USD, points to an infrastructure gap of between $68 and $108bn USD.

Governments and public institutions in Africa are looking into the PPP model as a mechanism to ensure the development of the required infrastructure, while not compromising on technology and expertise, all the while providing long term sustainable investment opportunities.
