Australia Wind Energy 2021 is a premier information change and business networking platform between multiple stakeholders in the country’s wind value chain. The two-day show is estimated to attract 500+ industrial stakeholders, representing Australia federal and state governments, home and international investors, developers, network providers, financiers, EPCs, as well as key equipment and solution providers.
Dominant source​: As Australia’s clean energy leader, in 2019, wind accounts for more than 35% of renewable energy generation and 8.5% of total electricity generation.
Rapid Growth: The cumulative installed capacity was 6279MW in 2019 with a compound annual growth rate of 14.6% compared to 1840MW in 2010. It is notable that new installed wind capacity reached a peak in 2019, with a size of 837MW, consisting of 8 wind farms.
Near-future Pipeline: 7.9 GW wind projects have received development approval; about 5.3GW (67%) of wind projects larger than 350 MW and located in favorable parts of the grid with owners that have development experience.
