Construction has commenced on a new residential development dubbed Alta Blakey in Bastrop, Texas. Recently, the development partners, Wood Partners and SCOA Real Estate Partners hosted an official groundbreaking to mark the project’s milestone.
The managing director of Wood Partners, Bart Barrett, said Alta Blakey will be his company’s first development in Bastrop. Therefore, he said Wood Partners was excited to break ground on the new residential project. Especially since it’s in close proximity to Austin, which has an array of popular attractions. Barret also said the property features high-quality living spaces and amenities surrounded by the charming and historic backdrop of Bastrop.

The Alta Blakey project will be developed southeast of the Austin submarket, approximately 30 miles from Austin. According to the developers, the project is at a prime location and offers access to local growing dining and retail offerings. In addition, residents will also enjoy access to the nearby world-famous live music scene in Austin. The developers expect the residential community to open by Summer 2024, with the pre-leasing scheduled for Spring 2024.
Development plans for Alta Blakey
The Alta Blakey residential community will be a 342-unit apartment. It will feature a mix of one two and three-bedroom floorplans. However, the property will also include some major additions which include larger residences, private garages, and carports. All units will be furnished with stainless steel appliances, wooden-style flooring, granite countertops and tile backsplashes. In-unit full-sized washer and dryer sets will also be available in each residence.
Alta Blakey will provide several luxury shared amenities such as a large resort-style pool with sun loungers and cabanas. Additionally, the property also offers shaded outdoor grilling stations, TVs and cornhole, as well as an on-site dog park. Other amenities are available inside the clubhouse which includes a fitness centre and business centre complete with multiple private conference spaces. What’s more, residents will enjoy access to wireless connectivity, along with cutting-edge audio and visual technology, in all common rooms.
