Construction has officially begun at the new Residence Inn by Marriott at Northgate Station Complex in Seattle. Simon, a global leader in premier shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations, made the announcement.
The hotel is the first and most recent construction in this top-notch, mixed-use complex in the centre of Northgate Station. It will be a crucial community asset. It will give visitors easy access to the Northgate Sound Transit station and the newly renovated Northgate Sound Transit light rail bus stop.
Moreover, Residence Inn by Marriott will be connected to the Northgate Station shopping centre and the Kraken Community Iceplex. The Kraken Community Iceplex is the official training ground for the Seattle Kraken NHL club. In addition, it is a focal point for ice sports in the Pacific Northwest.
Remarks on the Residence Inn by Marriott at Northgate Station
“Simon’s investment has been crucial to our expansion in commercial developments. Together, we’re strengthening the community with jobs and providing a distinctive visitor experience.
Furthermore, we are empowering our guests to make the most of each day, on their own terms and without restrictions,” said Robert Sanger. Sanger is the Area Vice President of Lodging Development at Marriott International.
On the other hand, Patrick Peterman said, “The Residence Inn brand will be introduced as the next stage of transformational development. We are eager to collaborate with Marriott on this. The new hotel will be a benefit to the community. Kraken Community Iceplex and Northgate Station will also reap its benefits after it is finished in 2025.”
Peterman is the senior vice president of development & mixed-use Simon Property Group.
Development of the Northgate Station Complex
This year, the multi-stage development will continue, and a new recreational area is expected to debut this summer.
Upon completion, this mixed-use, transit-oriented development will offer a sustainable and lively live, work, play, stay, and retail experience for the Northgate Station and the surrounding community.
Meanwhile, throughout the building phase, visitors can make use of Northgate Station’s stores, eateries, and public spaces.
