Construction of a new library officially begins in Kent county. State Librarian Dr. Annie Norman and other elected officials went to groundbreaking ceremony of the new Harrington Public Library last week. Construction is being funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.

“For too long, in Harrington Public Library space have been always a challenge. Local community will soon be able to enjoy the new purpose building,” said Governor Carney. “Delaware Libraries bring resources, collaboration, and creativity to our communities. Recent years have strengthened the central role that libraries play in our communities as centers for job training, job search, and education.
