Wihlborgs Fastigheter has awarded Veidekke a contract to build a mobility hub as part of the Vista office building in Malmö, Sweden. This collaborative design and build contract is worth approximately $24.68 million.  Vista is Wihlborg’s fourth office complex in Malmö’s Hyllie district.

The new office building’s construction is set to begin in the autumn of 2023. Veidekke intends to finish the construction in late 2024. This project is a five-story newbuild made up of Vista’s lower floors, and it will include approximately 430 parking spaces, 45 charging points (with room for more), solutions for car and bicycle sharing and bicycle parking, as well as changing and shower facilities. In addition, the hub will provide direct access to stairwells and office space.

Vista building project to serve people from Denmark and Sweden

Veidekke is also required by the contract to provide project planning for the offices. Consequently, the offices will cover the remaining ten floors. Miljöbyggnad Gold, WELL, and NollCO2 environmental building standards will be used to certify the structure. This mobility hub will be able to serve travelers crossing the bridge from Denmark into Sweden.
