Case has expanded its D Series lineup of full-size excavators with the introduction of an updated minimum-swing model, the CX145D SR exacvator. A 102 horsepower Tier 4 Final (T4F) engine powers the machine.

The CX145D SR has an operating weight of 32,100 pounds and delivers forces of up to 21,400 lb.-ft. It also lifts capacities of up to 21,350 pounds. Case says the machine’s engine is a maintenance-free T4F solution. This means that no diesel particulate filter (DPF) or regeneration is required. Instead, the engine implements a combination of selective technologies to meet emission regulations.

Feature

Case says the machine has faster cycle times thanks to improved breakout forces and more lifting strength. A new electronically controlled pump, larger control as well as several sensors make these features possible. These upgrades combine with Case’s Intelligent Hydraulic System (IHS).

Plus, the CD145D SR re-uses hydraulic fluid whenever possible. This feature further increases to cycle times. The  machine’s machines’ Speed Priority, Heavy Duty and Automatic modes further improves efficiency.

The machine’s cab features a Bluetooth radio, adjustable operator station with a heated air-ride seat. It is also fitted with standard rear and side view cameras. The two are connected to a 7-inch widescreen display that displays real-time operation data. The data is inclusive of fuel consumption, operating hours and other machine information.

Other standard features include Free Swing for craning, laying or lifting of offset loads; oil sample ports and a pattern selector for ISO or SAE controls. Available options include a dozer blade configuration, Case Max View Monitor and a choice of either steel or rubber tracks. A new six-lamp LED lighting package is also available and provides three times brighter illumination than halogen lights.
