PROTEA Hotels Zambia has confirmed that they will build a US$9.5m hotel in Ndola following the completion of the Lusaka Tower. The hotel will have 80 bedrooms comprising 60 double-bed deluxe rooms and 20 twin-bed deluxe rooms. All rooms will have extra-length beds, satellite television, air conditioning, telephone facilities, electronic safes and free Wi-Fi access.

The Ndola hotel will add to Protea Hotels many investments across the South Africa region with the most recently completed one being the Lusaka Tower whose facilities include four suites, 30 twin deluxe rooms, 103 king deluxe rooms, a swimming pool and a ninth floor restaurant and bar with expansive views over the surrounding city.

Union Gold Protea (UGP) chairperson Mark O’Donnell said Protea Zambia wants to bring a world class product in Ndola adding that the project will add value to the steadily growing Ndola town.

Mark O’Donnell added that the construction of the hotel near the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is expected to commence soon considering that the contractor has completed construction of the nine-storey, 137 room Lusaka Towers Hotel situated in the Arcades Shopping and Entertainment lifestyle hub opposite the Mulungushi Conference Centre.
