African Trade Insurance Agency (ATI) has helped Tanzania in getting US$82m worth of trade and investment. The money will be prioritized in projects such as energy, infrastructure, water, housing/construction, ICT/Telecommunications, financial services and manufacturing.

ATI, a multilateral organization that operates across Africa helps its members be a focus for investments and also attracts local companies to do business safely across borders.

In 2013, ATI supported the energy, financial services, telecommunications and transport sectors in Tanzania, the ATI’s Chief Executive Officer, George Otieno said this when his firm presented its 2013 financial results in Dar es Salaam.

Since it begun, ATI has supported US$13bn in trade and investments across Africa in sectors such as agribusiness, energy, infrastructure, manufacturing and telecommunications.
