Ghana government, together with Lohnro Company will open up new oil services port in Tokoradi; that’s according to Ghana President John Dramani Mahama.

Mahama added that the government is also set to expand the Aboadze thermal plant to cater for the energy needs of the people of Ghana.

The project will be accomplished in collaboration with the London- based multiple business company in Africa under the Public- Private Partnership project and they would facilitate project in the entire country.

According to Mahama, the wide Ghana Gas Project, currently under construction at Atuabo, will soon be completed to stem the perennial gas challenges the country had experienced. The president also gave assurance that the completion of the project would also create numerous jobs for more Ghanaians.

Mahama also said the government has set aside $750 million for the improvement of Ghanian roads in the next four years, assuring the public that the projects will be completed on time. Also, he said that while the government was working on the Sekondi/Takoradi- Awaso rail lines and repair the older ones railways, they are also considering offers for the construction of the lines up to Kumasi in the coming years.

Spokesperson of the delegation Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX asked the President to start working on the current roads that are in a mess and also rehabilitate the Takoradi Port.
