Grant Thornton is set to refurbish the existing Grant Thornton building in Johannesburg into a new office. In addition to upgrading the interior, the contractor will also upgrade the exterior of the building. Completion is scheduled for March 2015.
Turner & Townsend, a Global Programme Management and Consultancy Firm will provide project and cost management consultancy services, in addition to overseeing installation of interiors. The office building will be 11 000m2 and more than three floors and will accommodate 500 employees in one roof. Situated on Wanderers Office Park, the office will also be serviced by two lifts, an open plan office space and have a communal atrium area.
CEO of Grant Thornton, Andrew Hannington has said the new office building the firm is constructing is an indication of the milestone of his firm. This will help in the growth of business and clientele growth.
Turner & Townsend Director Keith Skinner also noted that his company was proud of the role they were playing in the project. He further noted that the company’s experience will meet the client’s requirements for the office. Both companies will collaborate in the office building project to ensure that it is ready in time.
