The Africa Leadership Forum (ALF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Privida Energy to boost the development of renewable energy projects that will lower the energy cost for Nigeria entrepreneurs.
The multi-facetted project will shade some light to trainees on how to design, generate, market, install and maintain solar power. The project aims at providing a short-term alternative source of power to private and small scale business consumers via the solar technology.
According to Olumide Ajayi the ALF Executive Director enlightened the willing trainees and stakeholders at the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Entrepreneurship Development Centre located at the South West zone of Ibadan during the forum that unemployment in the country is constantly rising due to inadequate power supply despite the country’s efforts and creativity to contribute to the nation’s economy. He added that with solar power will provide uninterrupted power supply.
Mr. Omozaphve Akalumhe, the Provida Energy Founder, confirmed his organization plans of building into its long-term programme of offering affordable renewable energy upto 2025. He further explained that the plan will involve global partners and create thousands of jobs for many as well as providing uninterrupted power supply in Nigeria.
However, Provida Energy has commit to work with resource persons and partners across the globe to impact on the Nigerian youths towards providing the long lasting solution to energy challenges in Nigeria.
