The company Yobek Electrical Enterprises which engages in the import and export business has constructed a business centre in Ethiopia worth US$17m which is located in Lideta Sub-city, otherwise known as Senga Tera.
The new construction dubbed Yobek Commercial Center is said to be a unique kind since it will be a business premises in Addis Ababa that will exclusively serve general electronic equipment and will also trade construction materials. It will serve as a one-window commercial center for shoppers who can find two kinds of capital goods.
The structure is a 14 and 10 storey twin building consisting of a combined 180 offices, restaurants and three bank branches. State materials including heavy carrier lifts that can accommodate up to 60 people at the same time are equipped in the building.
According to reports, Yobek is also planning on two five star hotel projects. One of the hotels will be located adjacent Bob Marley Roundabout and the other in Mekele city.
Yobek Electronic Enterprises is a local private company engaged in the import and export business and owns two factories. One of its factories produces electric conduits, electric controller board, and cables including PVC pipes while the other factory produces PP bags, which are used to package agricultural products. They also deliver multipurpose electrical equipment, mainly for airport terminals and higher education institutions.
