Ethiopia Renaissance dam construction has stalled following the ongoing wrangles between Egypt and Ethiopia.
The project which has now been delayed by six months have been delayed since both parties have not agreed on the approach of the studies that will see the project kick off and end on time without further wrangles.
There are three countries being involved in preliminary studies of Ethiopia Renaissance Dam project including Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan who have not yet committed themselves towards the project studies hence delaying the construction.
The most delayed process revolves around submitting the fine print offers which was submitted by two consultant firms that were appointed to conduct the studies that would easily give the project foundation a go ahead.
The two consulting companies French BRL and the Dutch Deltares carried out negotiations with the heads of the project though they all did not sign contracts that would show some bit of commitment.
According to the Renaissance Dam project delegation of experts spokesperson Alaa Yassin the Dan is of no beneficial to Egypt and rather its harmful to the country and it no fisible studies has been presented to them to give them energy for being much involved in the project.

The Egyptian delegation, along with representatives of Sudan and Ethiopia, make up the international commission of experts on the dam.
