German solar manufacturer Renusol enters South African market

German photovoltaic (PV) mounting systems manufacturer, Renusol has expanded its market frontiers to South Africa.
Renusol specializes in sophisticated solutions for installing photovoltaic systems.

With their extensive experience in the solar industry, they develop, produce and sell modular systems for the safe mounting of solar systems to all types of roofs.

Renusol is represented in all core markets in Europe and America with their systems and supplementary services.

The company distributes its products to the South African market through Lumax Energy, a whole sale company.

Lumax Energy in turn sells Renusol’s entire product portfolio to the vast South African market.
The Business Development Manager of Lumax Energy, Frans-Willem Vermaak said the solar market in South Africa has witnessed drastic growth over the years.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research predicts a significant rise in new installations with a possibility of 500 MW per year. This is on top of the estimated 100 megawatts of roof-top and agricultural PV output that have already been installed in the country.

Vermaak said the government should provide great support for solar power generation by enhancing regulation, introducing tax incentives or a feed-in tariff in all provinces.

He added that the Western Cape is currently the only province with a feed-in tariff scheme.
Renusol’s Managing Director, Sven Künzel said they were very happy t o have won Lumax Energy as a sales partner for South Africa.

“Lumax Energy offers customers an excellent service while its team has extensive experience in the PV industry and also provides project planning support,” said Künzel.
“In our international sales expansion plan, Renusol is taking on South Africa as the first step. We have further plans to penetrate several other markets around the globe,” Künzel added.

The Solar Show Africa 2016 exhibition, formerly known as Power & Electricity World Africa is set to take place in March and will be a great platform for Lumax Energy which is set to display all of Renusol’s mounting solutions.
