Snorkel, a UK based aerial lift manufacturer has unveiled its extended family of electric slab scissors – the S3215E and S3220E. The product launching took place during the 2016 Bauma exhibition in Munich.
According to Matthew Elvin, Snorkel CEO, company owner Don Ahern has not only expanded the company’s global footprint, but he has as well grown the product lineup, including the electric scissor lift line.
The new S3215E and S3220E models has joined the existing family of four hydraulic drive lifts, which include the S3219E, S3226E, S4726E and S4732E.
The S3215E can lift up to 272kg (600 pounds) and can also deliver a working height of 6.5m (21ft), on the other hand, the S3220E provides a lift capacity of 408kg (900 pounds) and offers a working height of 8.1m (26ft). The models are particularly popular in the European markets, where higher lifting capacities is in great focus.
Both the S3215E and the S3220E share a 0.81m (32 inch) wide chassis, common with the S3219E and S3226E, respectively. When working in confined spaces, the lifts feature Snorkel’s twin-door service trays, provides ‘inside-out’ access to all the key machine components.
The new lifts shares the attributes of the rest of the family, such as the saloon-style entry gates as standard, telescopic extension deck, the fixed upper control box, upsized kingpins, gravity-actuated pothole protection system and dual-shear scissor stack design with upsized pins.
However, the new models are now in production at Snorkel’s US manufacturing facility in Elwood, Kansas.
