The master plan vision for the Dubai Islands project which is under the wings of Nakheel has been revealed. According to the plan, the project will feature a total number of five islands.
The five islands will span a total area of 17 square kilometers. In addition, each of the islands will have its own eloquent and unique offerings accompanied by innovative living experiences. These will include amenities such as recreational sports beaches, beach clubs as well as cultural hubs.
Furthermore, the islands will all be set in one location that is interconnected as well as within convenient access to the airport and city.
An insight into the Dubai Islands project
The five luxury-style islands will be home to well over about 80 hotels and resorts. These will include family and eco-conscious hotels as well as boutiques and wellness resorts. In turn, the project will also align well with Dubai’s ambition to boost the hospitality and tourism sectors.
According to the plan the project is to offer well over 20 kilometers of beaches. These will include a Blue Flag-certified beach that is approximately two square kilometers. There will also be open spaces and parks alongside premium golf courses that overlook the Arabian Gulf.

The CEO at Nakheel spoke about the Dubai Islands project. Naaman Atallah said that the project is an integral and significant part of Dubai’s future vision. The project aims to align with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan initiative.
It will therefore contribute towards a reinforcement of the country’s position as a global destination of choice for investors, residents as well as visitors. Additionally, project aims to enhance not just the health and wellbeing of visitors and residents but their happiness too.
Lastly, the CEO concluded by saying that they also aim to provide a variety of urban infrastructure as well as facilities with the highest of standards.
