The master plan vision for the Dubai World Islands Project has officially been revealed. The project aims to redefine the concept of waterfront living. Construction of the Dubai World Islands Project first began 18 years ago but stalled following the economic crisis in 2018.

The Dubai World Islands project is a man-made archipelago consisting of 300 man-made islands that form an image of the world. Since its commencement in 2000, the project has been plagued with claims that the artificial islands were sinking into the sea in addition to facing a slowdown after the economic crisis of 2018.

Recently a 70-room resort opened its doors under hotel chain Anantara giving a lease of life to the project. It sits on the South American section of islands.

The Dubai World Islands Project Aims To Provide The Highest Of Standards

The project’s development is under the wings of Dubai-based world-leading master developer, Nakheel. It will feature a total number of five islands. Furthermore, the five islands will span a total area of 17 square kilometers.

Each island will have its own eloquent and unique offerings accompanied by innovative living experiences. These will include amenities such as recreational sports beaches, beach clubs as well as cultural hubs. Impressively, they will all be set in one location that is interconnected as well as within convenient access to the airport and city.

Additionally, the project aims to align with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan initiative. As a result, the project will contribute towards a reinforcement of the country’s position as a global destination of choice for investors, residents as well as visitors. The five luxury-style islands will be home to well over about 80 hotels and resorts. These will include family and eco-conscious hotels as well as boutiques and wellness resorts.

In turn, the project will also align well with Dubai’s ambition to boost the hospitality and tourism sectors.

The Dubai World Islands Project’s master plan has revealed the project to offer well over 20 kilometers of beaches. The plan includes a Blue Flag-certified beach that is approximately two square kilometers of open spaces and parks alongside premium golf courses that overlook the Arabian Gulf.

The CEO at Nakheel spoke about the project. Naaman Atallah said that the project is an integral and significant part of Dubai’s future vision. Additionally, the project aims to enhance not just the health and wellbeing of visitors and residents but their happiness too. Lastly, the CEO concluded by saying that they also aim to provide a variety of urban infrastructure as well as facilities with the highest standards.
