Stone Africa Pty Ltd gave birth to the concept of quarrying exotic materials from formations that had laid dormant under the desert sand and untouched for millions of years.
The Africa Range ® emerged after extensive prospecting, sampling and studying various colours and structures. Mining rights were obtained and environmental procedures put in place and quarrying began some 15 years ago.
Since those early years, both local and international markets have embraced the rich, vibrant, earthy colours of this unique range of materials.
The Africa Range ® brand has become synonymous with quality, exclusivity and strength and is recognised on 5 continents as a product line that offers a diverse and unique variety of exotic 100% natural stones.
Used in projects worldwide, the materials have mass appeal and their glamour and exquisite individuality are unparalleled.
On site facilities in the form of Italian technology diamond wire cutting machines, polishing & resin lines allow for slab production directly at the quarries.
Cut to size projects, according to client specifications, for floor tiles, work tops, customized furniture, pavers, cobbles and all forms of cladding are processed at affiliate companies in South Africa and shipped worldwide.
All stone products are 100% “nature friendly” with a minimum carbon foot print.
They are strong, durable and require minimal up-keep and maintenance.
They are true cradle-to-cradle products that are easily and successfully reintegrated.
The company is constantly up-grading its facilities to ensure the best quality products are supplied.
Constant exploration and development continue to unearth more and more beautiful and exotic materials and these in turn increase the popularity and appeal of The Africa Range ®.
The quarries are continually monitored to ensure good quarrying procedures are adhered to and there is a strong commitment to minimizing environmental impact and working closely with the Namibian government to ensure a continued supply of The Africa Range ®.
Due to the low impact that quarrying natural stone has on the environment, it has become one of the products that meets the requirements for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification.
All manufactured or processed materials we use in our homes and commercial buildings adversely affect our global and local environments.
The company sells its products to South Africa, Gabon, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Malawi, Zambia and Botswana.
