ALYAF Industrial Company Ltd is the largest manufacturer of geotextiles in the Middle East and a leading global geosynthetics provider.

Established in 1992, ALYAF has pioneered the development of geotextiles in the regional infrastructural and construction industries using state-of-the-art technology at its production facility in Saudi Arabia.

ALYAF’s products have featured in some of the most prestigious projects across the Middle East such as road and area stabilization for King Abdul Aziz Road in Thuwal, the North-South Railway in Saudi Arabia; port, sea wall and shore protection for Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi, tunnel projects in Palm Jumeirah, Dubai and soil improvement for the Wasit Gas Project for Saudi Aramco, the Gurgon Port Project at Australia, etc.

Manufactured using high grade polyester or polypropylene, ALYAF geotextiles offer superior excellent tensile strength, puncture resistance, good elongation, high permeability, high porosity with fine opening size and resistance to chemicals, rot, and ultraviolet (UV) rays.

ALYAF’s product portfolio also includes the ALFWEB three-dimensional cellular confinement system for slope protection; protexia geocomposite drainage and gas venting systems, ALYAF Bi Ax Geogrids for soil stabilization, ALFDRAIN range of geodrains and ALFGEO green roof systems.

The geosynthetics major recently joined forces with UK’s GEOfabrics to create ALYAF Geocomposites, a novel range of high performance drainage geocomposites manufactured to the highest quality standard.

The significant partnership places both companies in an exciting position to venture into new markets with a focus on geosynthetic products for North and Central African, European and Asian markets. The company has a dedicated quality control/quality assurance department at its Dammam production facility and its products are manufactured, tested and supplied in line with stringent quality management systems certified under ISO 9001 by an external agency.

Its technical and professional design teams in Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah work closely with consultants, contractors and clients to provide the most techno-commercially viable solutions acceptable to clients.

As part of its growth plans, the company is working to add its fourth geotextile manufacturing line by the end of 2015, which is expected to increase its nonwovens capacity to more than 20,000 tonnes per year (tpy). It is also adding a fiber production plant for its captive consumption.
