Backup Generators now sells customized diesel generators to clients in Mozambique, Botswana, and Zimbabwe but also in some other African countries through their generator suppliers in other areas. Manufactured with SABS approved switchgear and equipment, the outdoor soundproof canopies on their generators are designed to give the maximum airflow for cooling in extremely hot African environments while still maintaining acceptable levels of sound attenuation. Extra sound attenuation of up to 10DB allows use of the generators in places where low noise is required.

We build all the generator sets to Dis-Chem Pharmacies in South Africa, ranging from 50kva to 100kva for various size stores.
Brett Gottscho from Backup Generators has advice for diesel generator buyers: they should not be “penny wise and pound foolish.” He goes ahead to say “you get what you pay for. Rather, look at spending a little more money to buy a “Brand Name” generating set from a reputable supplier where spares and support is readily available.”
